Tonight’s TV… Monday 10 September… Tonight’s TV… Monday 10 September… Tonight’s TV… Monday 10 September…
9.00, How Dirty Can I Get? BBC3
Well, if you won’t wash for six weeks, the answer to that question is: really pretty stinking. Self-confessed beauty product addict Nicky Taylor ditches the soap, make-up and even toothpaste and deodorant to see if the £2,000 a year she spends on cosmetics is really worth it.

9.00, Silent Witness, BBC1
The bizarre and macabre comes as standard in the enjoyably gloomy world of Silent Witness, so when a coffin is split open in a car crash involving a funeral procession, it should come as no surprise that there is, oops, an extra body stuffed inside. Two for the price of one. And off they go, on a complicated, coincidence -laden journey of implausibility involving cocaine, a rogue surgeon and Emilia Fox being particularly wan and waif-like.
FILM 9.00, Fahrenheit 9/11, Channel 4
Don’t expect subtlety or balanced argument, but Michael Moore’s anti-Bush polemic will have you shouting ‘yeah! That’s right!’ and ‘you tell ‘em, Michael!’ at the TV in righteous anger.

I saw the “How Dirty Can I Get?2 programme and it as really interesting. On my blog, The Blog of Lists I worked out how many chemicals I put on my skin every morning.

As scientists dont know what this cocktail of checmicals is doing to our health, I was quite shocked about the number I use, and Im not one of these metrosexual new men either. What would it be like if I wore makeup!?!!

Worrying stuff indeed. You may also be interested in Sarah Beeny’s new series How Toxic Are You?, which is due to air on Channel 4 next month. She will be looking at the chemicals used in make-up, baby products and the like, and finding out what impact they have on our health.
