The American version of the hit Australian comedy Kath & Kim has found its Kath! Molly Shannon (of Saturday Night Live fame) will play Kath in the comedy pilot for NBC.
The original show stars Jane Turner as Kath and Gina Riley as Kim. The two will also serve as executive producers on the American version. The search for Kim is still on.

The reason Kath and Kim is so successful and entertaining is that it’s uniquely Australian. I can’t quite wrap my head around how they’re going to pull this off in America 0_o
