The only thing scarier than a woman spurned is a woman fighting to protect her son, and tonight’s episode has two of ‘em, as screen sisters Lorraine Ashbourne and Gina McKee go head-to-head when their boys get caught up in a murder charge. Gritty stuff.

9.00, My Big Foot, Discovery
NEW Not the tale of some redneck and his pet yeti, in fact it’s even stranger than that – it’s the shocking story of a woman with a rare fluid retention condition that has caused her foot to swell so much it weighs seven stone. What’s even more bizarre is that while Vicki is searching for a doctor to cure her, she has become strangely attached to said foot and is in two minds about having it reduced. But Vicki, just think of the roller discos you’re missing out on!

9.00, The Queen’s Wedding, Channel 4
NEW They may have chalked up 60 years together, but union between Princess Elizabeth and Philip Mountbatten was touch and go in 1947, with the establishment being strongly against the future queen marrying the Greek lieutenant. Perhaps they had an inkling of the sorts of gaffes he would be capable of in later life.
