NEW SERIES Simon, Randy and Paula are back with another wave of perky auditionees in Philadelphia, including one bloke who manages to dress like MC Hammer and Elvis at the same time, another wearing a bikini, a wannabee Paula stalker and a woman in a Princess Lea outfit. Incidentally, Paula fans will be pleased to know fly-on-the-wall show Hey Paula! will be on ITV2 at the end of the month.

9.00, Fairy Tales: Cinderella, BBC1 & HD
NEW James Nesbitt takes the charming role of a university professor, with Maxine Peake as a beleaguered cleaner who’s trying to shine in his presence (insert your own Mr Sheen joke here.) Nesbitt vamps it up as the anthropologist who must rethink his arrogant ways after meeting Peak’s modern-day Cinders.

10.00, The Convention Crasher, Channel 4
NEW SERIES Justin Lee Collins lines up another series of conventions he can invite himself along to, hoping to pick up some of their tricks himself, beginning with a hoard of magicians (just what is the collective noun for magicians, anyway?)
