With such a long-running character leaving the soap, the actors will probably be shedding real tears in their scenes - keep a box of hankies handy.

LIVE The concept of this show is great - take one top chef, get them to coach viewers through a recipe live on air, et voila! A nation of happy cooks. Where it falls down is that C4 has chosen old potty mouth Ramsay for the task, which means it’s not safe to put him on air before 9pm - so it’ll either have to be a very late dinner, or a recipe that reheats well. NEW Jack’s been brilliant in Lead Balloon, but it’s great to see him back in action on the stand-up circuit, performing at London’s Hammersmith Apollo. And you might be in need of a laugh after trying to make scallops, steak and chocolate mousse in one hour flat.
